   Assassins is an interactive, web-based game that combines elements of strategy, mystery, and espionage. Players assume the roles of agents in an international spy organization, completing missions and uncovering secrets.

2. What do I need to do before I start my first mission?

   To begin your first mission, complete your user profile by answering all the questions. Once your profile is complete, you will receive further instructions on your Dashboard.

3. How do I navigate the Dashboard?

   The Dashboard is your central hub for receiving mission briefings, updates, and tracking your progress. Familiarize yourself with the layout and check it regularly for new instructions and mission details. A link to the dashboard is located on the left panel of the website.

4. What is a mission and what do I need to do to complete it?

   A mission contains five major objectives which are all required for you to complete to ultimately identify and assassinate your Target.

   For the first three objectives, you are identifying your Target's crime details: the location of their crime, the crime your Target committed, and the weapon used. These may be quite challenging & non-traditional (or possibly humorous) and require deep research. Upon progressing through each of these first three objectives, you will progressively learn details about your Target within their Dossier (i.e. their profile details) located within your Dashboard.

   Your fourth objective is comprised of two steps. The first step is for you to use your deductive skills to correctly identify your Target's identity based on the details found in their Dossier. Once you know their true identity, you must enter their first and last name. For the second step of this objective, you must complete your Target's Dossier by providing correct details that are missing from their file. Upon completing your Target's profile, you will be able to complete your assassination attempt.

   This fifth and final objective will require that you reach out to your Target and provide them with their Code Word. Upon receipt of that code word, your Target must provide you their Confirmation word in order for you to complete the assassination. Once this is complete, you will be assigned your next mission.

5. What is the importance of completing my profile?

   Your profile contains vital information that other agents will use to identify you or discover facts about you as part of their missions. Completing your profile is mandatory to participate in missions and advance in the game.

6. What are points, and how do I earn them?

   Points are awarded for completing objectives, solving clues, and successful assassinations. They contribute to your overall score and ranking within the game. Your points earned for each objective will determined by the number of clues you request as well as additional deductions for any incorrect attempts.

7. What happens if I make a mistake?

   Failure is part of the learning process. If you make a mistake in solving puzzles, you will receive feedback and have the opportunity to try again. Your resilience and determination are key to becoming a top agent.

8. How do I solve clues and advance in missions?

   Pay close attention to the details provided in your mission briefings and use your problem-solving skills to decode clues. Use the resources available, such as external resources for research, and work with other agents if necessary. For most questions, if you need some extra help, start typing your answer and you will see available valid options to choose from.

9. What if I get completely stuck on one of the objectives in a mission?

   These objectives can be hard and unusual! Be sure to request as many clues as needed to solve your objective. However, in the case that you have exhausted all of your research and need some additional help, please contact support for assistance.

10. Can I interact with other players?

    Yes, interaction with other players is an integral part of the game and is required to complete your assassination. You may optionally choose to work with other agents to help solve your objectives. However, be cautious as some agents might be working against you.

11. Someone has reached out to me and provided me with a word and asking for my confirmation word. What do I do?

    This is an indication of an assassination attempt against you! You will need two pieces of information found within your Dashboard.

    First, you must validate that the word this person has provided you matches Your Code Word found at the bottom of your Dashboard.

    If the word provided to you matches Your Code Word, you must respond to them with your Confirmation Word, also found at the bottom of your Dashboard.

12. How do I stay informed about game updates and new missions?

    Regularly check your Dashboard for announcements, updates, and new mission briefings. Staying informed is crucial for staying ahead in the game.

13. Can I update my profile information?

    Yes, you can update your profile information at any time. Simply navigate to your profile section on the left navigation pane and make the necessary changes to ensure your Dossier is accurate. However, we ask that you limit changes once the mission begins.

14. What is the significance of rankings in the game?

    Rankings reflect your performance and achievements compared to other agents. Strive to complete missions successfully, accurately and with minimal additional to clues to earn the most points to climb the ranks and become a top agent.

15. How is my personal information used in the game?

    We respect your privacy and ensure that your personal information is secure. Your profile information is only used within the context of the game and will never be shared with external entities.

16. Are there any in-game purchases?

    No! Assassins offers a fully immersive experience without the need for in-game purchases. All players have equal opportunities to succeed based on their skills and strategies.

17. Who is the Director of Covert Operations and what do they do?

    The Director of Covert Operations oversees all missions and ensures the smooth running of the game. They will provide you with critical information, updates, and directives throughout your journey.
